Sailing School, at the Grand Rapids Yacht Club, offers classes for sailors young and old, beginners through advanced. Students at all levels will experience the thrill of sailing through a variety of games, activities, and informal competitions, on and off the water, designed to develop boat handling and safety skills. Boats sailed: Opti, Butterfly, and Club 420. Class size is limited. Go to the Sailing School page to learn more about the class offering.

Please note, you will need to complete registration for your first child/participant before adding classes for another child. You will receive a confirmation email and a second email with important documents to be reviewed and signed electronically.
Reminder: All sailors are required to bring their own life jacket to class each day. Wearing a swimsuit and waterproof shoes are also recommended. There is a mandatory swim test, wearing life jackets, before each session.

Practices start the week of June 12 and end July 28, the team meets every Monday and Wednesday, 1:00PM-4:00PM, at GRYC.
